• Who can activate Add-On Hotspot pass?

  Anyone on Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited/ Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited ECEM Plan with an active 30-day Unlimited Internet pass can purchase the Add-On Hotspot pass.

• What do I get by adding on the Hotspot pass?

  With Add-On Hotspot pass, you can use any of your Unlimited Internet pass to hotspot or tether with other devices at only RM5.

  • Data quota will be drawn from your existing 30-day Unlimited Internet and Call pass.
  • The speed of your hotspot (tethering) device will depend on your existing 30-day Unlimited Internet and Calls pass.
  • Hotspot pass will expire with your existing 30-day Unlimited Internet and Calls pass.

• How many devices can I use hotspot with concurrently?

  There is no limit to the number of devices you can use hotspot with.

• I have two 30-day Unlimited Internet passes with different validity period. I add on the Hotspot pass, what will the validity be for the Hotspot pass?

  Your Hotspot pass will follow the validity of your Unlimited Internet with the later expiry date.
  I.e., If you have two 30-day Unlimited Internet pass; one expiring on 1 Oct 2021, another on 15 Oct 2021. Your Hotspot pass will expire on 15 Oct 2021.

• I have an existing Hotspot pass. Will my Hotspot pass validity be extended if I purchase another 30-day Unlimited Internet pass?

  No. The validity of your Hotspot pass will not be extended with the newly purchased 30-day Unlimited Internet pass.

  If you wish to extend the validity of your Hotspot pass, to follow the same validity of your newly purchased 30-day Unlimited Internet pass, you will need to purchase another Hotspot pass.

• How do I purchase the Add-On Hotspot pass?

  You may add on the Hotspot pass only AFTER your 30-day Unlimited Internet and Calls pass is activated. Login to your Hotlink app or you may dial *100# to purchase a Hotspot pass.

• Can I continue using my Add-On Hotspot pass after my 30-day Unlimited Internet and Calls pass has expired?

  Your Add-On Hotspot pass will expire with your existing 30-day Unlimited Internet and Calls pass.

• I can’t seem to purchase an Add-On Internet pass, why is this so?

  Please ensure you have an active 30-day Unlimited Internet and Calls pass before purchasing an Add-On Hotspot pass.

• Is Add-On Hotspot pass auto-renewable?

  It is a one-time add-on pass.

• Is there a Fair Usage Policy applied to Hotspot pass and how does it work?

  Yes. We offer unlimited hotspot with Fair Usage Policy (FUP). Upon reaching the FUP limits (combined usage of hotspot and host device), you will be informed and will be surfing on a reduced speed until the pass expires.

  The maximum FUP limit for 30-day passes with high speed internet is 50GB and there’s no quota limit for surfing on reduced speed. The reduced speed is capped at 512kbps which allows fairly good user experience for video streaming on standard definition, social media apps, internet browsing, etc.
