Service Specific Terms & Conditions – Hotlink Uni Legends MLBB Tournament (“SSTC”)

Terms and conditions for Hotlink Kaamatan Contest (“Contest Terms & Conditions”)

    1. This Service Specific Terms & Conditions – Hotlink Uni Legends MLBB Tournament (“SSTC”) sets out the general terms and conditions in relation to the Tournament (as described in clause 2 hereinbelow) accessible via the Website at https://www.hotlink-unilegends.com.
    2. The Tournament is subject to:
      1. the General Terms & Conditions of Services – Hotlink Consumer at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/hotlink-consumer/ ("GTC");
      2. this SSTC;
      3. Maxis Fair Usage Policy at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/maxis-fair-usage-policy/ (“Maxis FUP”); and/or
      4. any other terms and conditions, all at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/hotlink/, where applicable.
    3. Unless otherwise defined herein, the capitalised terms in this SSTC shall have the same meanings as defined in the GTC.
    4. Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC – Uni Legends Tournament, the SSTC, GTC and Summary Terms and Conditions ("STC") at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/summary/, shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) SSTC – Uni Legends Tournament; (b) GTC; and (d) STC.
    1. In this SSTC, the following words shall have the meanings ascribed to it:
      1. “MLBB” refers to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, a mobile multiplayer online game.
      2. "Tournament” means any MLBB tournament held by Maxis and/or its authorised representative pursuant to this SSTC – Uni Legends Tournament.
      3. “Tournament Organiser” means Maxis and any legal entity or natural person with a valid and legally enforceable arrangement, agreement and/or contract with Maxis to organise the Tournament.
      4. “Player” means user who participates in the Tournament.
      5. “Rulebook” refers to the Hotlink Uni Legends MLBB Tournament 2024 Rulebook published on the Website.
      6. “Website” refers to Hotlink Uni Legends website at https://www.hotlink-unilegends.com.
      7. “You” means the user of the Services and includes the Player where applicable as the context requires.
    1. For more information in relation to the Tournament, you can refer to the Website at https://www.hotlink-unilegends.com or Hotlink sales ground activations in university campuses.
    2. Participation
      1. You will require a MLBB account in order to sign up and register for a Tournament.
      2. In order to register for a Tournament, you warrant and represent that:
        1. you are residing in Malaysia throughout the entire period of the Tournament;
        2. you are at least eighteen (18) years old and have the ability to contract. If you are under the age of eighteen (18), your parent or legal guardian must read and agree to this SSTC on your behalf. If you are the parent or legal guardian of a minor who register for the Tournament, you consent to the registration of the Tournament and/or use of the Services by your child or minor in your custody in accordance with this SSTC, and agree that you will be responsible for any and all use of the Services, registration of and/or participation in the Tournament, by your child or minor in your custody;
        3. you will abide by and comply with the GTC, this SSTC, Maxis FUP and any other applicable terms and conditions as set out in clause 1.2 hereinabove;
        4. you are using your actual identity; and
        5. the personal particulars that you have provided upon registration of and/or participation in the Tournament, are true, accurate, complete and current.
      3. You agree to at all times abide by and comply with the GTC, this SSTC, Maxis FUP and any other applicable terms and conditions as set out in clause 1.2 hereinabove.
      4. By participating in a Tournament, you agree to provide to Maxis your gaming information including but not limited to Player name, team name, game ID, in-game name and consent to Maxis viewing, processing and storing the same.
      5. You agree and acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted all the Tournament mechanics and rules as set out in the Rulebook.
    3. During the Tournament:
      1. You agree and consent to Tournament Organiser to reveal your Player name and/or in-game name to other Players for match-making purposes.
      2. You agree to adhere to the Tournament schedule as stated on the Website. Late in joining the Tournament may result in match penalty and/or disqualification from the Tournament, as deemed appropriate by the Tournament Organiser.
      3. You will communicate, play, and compete in the Tournament on other third-party websites and/or applications that are neither maintained nor controlled by Maxis. You acknowledge and agree that each of those websites and/or applications are governed by their respective terms and conditions which you agree to abide by throughout the Tournament. Maxis shall not be responsible for the condition, content and/or information of and as contained in those websites and/or applications as they are not under Maxis’ control. The link(s) contained in or to these third-party websites and/or applications shall not be construed, expressly or impliedly, as authorization, endorsement, sponsorship or any partnership by Maxis. You agree to bear all risks in accessing those links, third-party websites and/or applications and in using the products and services contained therein. Maxis shall not be responsible for any transactions you may perform on those third-party websites and/or applications.
      4. You acknowledge and consent to all usage of photos, videos, and any form of recording during the Tournament for media and marketing purposes.
    4. Dispute and issue
      1. You agree to immediately notify Tournament Organiser in the event there is any dispute or issue arising from or in relation to the Tournament. The Tournament Organiser shall investigate your complaint and respond to you as soon as possible.
      2. Any complaint(s) you may have shall be made within seven (7) days from the conclusion of the Tournament in accordance with clause 3.4(a) above.
      3. The Tournament Organiser reserve the rights to reject, refuse and not respond to your complaint in the event you failed to make your complaint in accordance with clause 3.4(a) and clause 3.4(b) above.
      4. For the avoidance of doubt and irrespective of the validity of your complaint, in no event and under no circumstances shall the Tournament Organiser and/or Maxis be liable to compensate you for any losses or damages you incurred or may incur due to and/or arising from any activities, including but not limited to cheating, hacking, ginger, and/or change of player.
    5. Eligibility of winner
      1. You agree to comply with the Rulebook in order to be eligible as a Tournament winner.
      2. You agree, acknowledge and consent to Tournament Organiser viewing and processing your Prize Delivery Details, which include but not limited to Player’s name as per National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) or Passport, phone number, email address, bank name, bank account holder name and/or bank account number for prize fulfilment purposes. You agree and acknowledge that Maxis shall have the rights to, amongst others, delay delivery, refuse delivery and/or forfeit the prize in the event you fail to provide true and accurate Prize Delivery Details. In such an event:
        1. Maxis shall not be liable for any losses or damages which you may suffer or have suffered as a result therefrom; and
        2. you agree to unconditionally and irrevocably waive all claims in relation to the prize, and release Maxis from any liability arising from and/or in connection with the prize.
    6. Minimum participation for giving Tournament Prize
      1. You agree and acknowledge that Tournament Organiser reserves the rights to cancel the Tournament in the event the actual number of Players in the Tournament is below 10% participation rate based on the maximum number of participants of a Tournament. The prizes of cancelled Tournament will be forfeited and will not be accumulated into the next Tournament, if any.
    7. Prizes
      1. The 1,000 Diamonds will be given to:
        1. First 50 teams who registered to the Tournament.
        2. Subsequently completed a match in the Tournament.
        The Diamonds will be fulfilled into player account within sixty (60) days after from Tournament registration close date.
      2. Players from top 16 teams will be eligible to enter lucky draw, winner will be selected randomly by Maxis and/or Tournament Organiser during the Tournament.
      3. The lucky draw cash prizes and Tournament cash prizes will be fulfilled via bank transfer into winners’ account within sixty (60) working days after the winner has provided accurate Prize Delivery Detail as requested.
    1. During the course of your participation in the Tournament, you shall not at any time, directly or indirectly engage in any of the following activities ("Restricted Activities"):
      1. Use vulgar or provocative language during the entire Tournament within any communication channel and/or game application/software;
      2. Throwing a match, halting play without cause, or showing a flagrant lack of effort in a match;
      3. Cheating and/or conspiring to cheat throughout the Tournament;
      4. Use an in-game name that is deemed vulgar, offensive, discriminatory, or infringing on the copyright;
      5. Late or “no show” during the Tournament;
      6. Use of PC emulator, mod or any gaming peripheral that will gain an unfair advantage against other Players;
      7. Intentionally cause a disconnection during the Tournament; and/or
      8. Accuse any Player without proof.
    2. Players who are caught directly or indirectly engaging in any of the Restricted Activities will receive punishment including but not limited to warning, match penalty, disqualification, suspension from any future tournaments, as deemed appropriate by the Tournament Organiser.
    3. In the event of any claims made against Maxis and/or Tournament Organiser due to the commission or alleged commission of any of the Restricted Activities, the Players agree to hold Maxis and/or Tournament Organiser harmless against, and indemnify Maxis and/or Tournament Organiser for, any and all damages and losses incurred or may incur by Maxis and/or Tournament Organiser on a full-indemnity basis.
    1. Maxis reserves the right to modify, change, postpone, suspend and/or cancel the Tournament at its sole and absolute discretion for any reasons, and excludes any and all liabilities and/or claims arising from or in relation to the said modification, change, postponement, suspension and/or cancellation of the Tournament and any technical faults, issues and/or disruption occurred during the Tournament for whatsoever reasons. For the avoidance of doubt, Maxis shall not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive or other similar damages, including but not limited to loss of revenues, loss of profits, lost data or other intangible losses arising out of or in relation to your use of Services and your participation in the Tournament.
    2. You agree to waive any and all claims against Maxis and the Tournament Organiser for any damages, losses, and/or expenses you incurred or may incur as a result of any modification, change, postponement, suspension and/or cancellation of the Tournament and any technical faults, issues and/or disruption occurred during the Tournament.
    3. Maxis shall not be liable to the participants or any other party for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by you or such other party as a result of participation or non-participation in the Tournament or as a result of any act or omission on Maxis’ part.
    1. You agree and acknowledge that Maxis shall have the rights to alter, modify or change the terms in this SSTC periodically without prior notice given to you. You are therefore, advised to visit this page from time to time. The date of publication, and any update, of this SSTC is stated at the top of this SSTC.
    2. Any changes to this SSTC shall come into effect upon publication of the updated SSTC in this page. You agree and acknowledge that your continued use of the Services and participation in the Tournament after the updated SSTC came into effect shall constitute, and be deemed as your acceptance to the applicable updated SSTC at the material time.
    1. The terms and conditions stated in this SSTC shall be governed by the Laws of Malaysia and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
