Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”) – Hotlink Postpaid Offer for Public/Private Higher Education Institution Offer

    1. Offer: RM10 x 12 months rebate for new subscriber of Participating Hotlink Plan(s) subject to terms and conditions herein.
    2. Participating Hotlink Plan(s): Hotlink Postpaid 45, Hotlink Postpaid 60 and Hotlink Postpaid 70, which applicable terms and conditions are at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/products/postpaid/sstc/ (“Hotlink Postpaid SSTC”).
    3. Offer Period: From 19 November 2020 to 31 December 2025 (both dates inclusive), or longer period as may be determined by us.
    4. Student: A student of a higher education institution in Malaysia which includes public universities established in Malaysia under the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 [Act 30] as well as private universities and university colleges established in Malaysia under Private Higher Educational Institutions Act 1996 [Act 555] or other applicable laws in Malaysia.
    5. You: Student who subscribes to Participating Hotlink Plan(s) in accordance with the terms of this SSTC.
    6. Rebate Period: Twelve (12) months from the date of which you subscribe to the Participating Hotlink Plan(s).
    7. The Offer is subject to the General Terms & Conditions at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/maxis-consumer/ (“GTC”), this Service Specific Terms & Conditions – Hotlink Postpaid Offer for Public/Private Higher Education Institution Offer (“SSTC”), Hotlink Postpaid SSTC, Maxis Fair Usage Policy at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/maxis-fair-usage-policy/ (“FUP”) and any other applicable terms and conditions, all at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/.
    8. Capitalised terms herein shall have the same meaning as defined in the GTC.
    9. Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC, Hotlink Postpaid SSTC, the GTC and Summary Terms and Conditions (“STC”), shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) SSTC; (b) Hotlink Postpaid SSTC; (c) GTC; and (d) STC.
    10. We reserve the rights without liability, to revise this SSTC, the Offer and our pricing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give you reasonable advance notice of such changes and all previous versions of our user guides or leaflets will be superseded. You accept you are responsible for regularly reviewing information on the Offer, Plan(s) and Service(s) at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/, including changes to the Agreement. Your continued use of the Offer, Service(s) and/or Participating Hotlink Plan(s) (after the Effective Date of any revision/change to the terms and conditions of Offer, Services and/or Participating Hotlink Plan(s)) shall constitute unconditional acceptance by you of such revisions/changes and you shall be bound by the same. If you do not accept such revisions/changes, you will terminate the Offer, Participating Hotlink Plan(s) and/or the use of the Services by giving us notice within 28 days from the Effective Date failing which you are assumed to have accepted the changes.
    1. You must:
      1. be at least 18 years of age;
      2. be a resident in Malaysia;
      3. be a Student with a valid student ID;
      4. be a new or existing subscribers to Hotlink; and
      5. upgrade to or sign up for any of the Participating Hotlink Plan(s).
    2. For the purposes of identity and eligibility verification, you are required to provide us with:
      1. Original National Registration Identity Card (“NRIC”) or passport; and
      2. Original and valid university Student ID.
    3. You are ineligible for this Offer if you owe us any payments.
    4. The Offer is inapplicable to you if you are a commercial user and/or bulk subscriber.
    5. Notwithstanding the above, your eligibility is subject to our absolute discretion. Maxis reserves the right to change the eligibility criteria for this Offer from time to time.
    1. In order for you to receive and continuously enjoy the Offer, you must: (a) fulfil the criteria set out in Clause 10 to Clause 13 above; and (b) maintain an active account with the Hotlink Participating Plan you signed up for under this SSTC.
    2. This Offer is limited to one (1) line per (1) NRIC or passport.
    3. If you sign up for this Offer, you are required to make an advance payment of RM30.
    4. In addition to Clause 17, if you are a non-Malaysian Student, a deposit of RM150 is chargeable to you if you sign up for this Offer.
    5. Additional device advance payment may apply if you sign up with a new device contract, the amount varies based on device model and Minimum Commitment Period.
    6. By signing up for this Offer, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the Hotlink Postpaid SSTC as described in Clause 2 above.
    7. Unless otherwise authorised by us, this Offer is not stackable with any other Bill rebate(s) or other Offer from us during the Rebate Period. You are responsible to check and confirm your continuous enjoyment over this Offer prior to signing up any other offers made available or campaign organised by us from time to time.
    8. During the Rebate Period, you shall not:
      1. terminate your Hotlink mobile account which you used to sign up for the Hotlink Participating Plan;
      2. port out to another mobile service provider;
      3. suspend your Hotlink mobile account you used to sign up for the Hotlink Participating Plan;
      4. have your Hotlink mobile account which you used to sign up for the Hotlink Participating Plan terminated for non-payment of monthly Bills;
      5. downgrade from the Hotlink Participating Plan(s) you signed up for under this Offer; and/or
      6. change or transfer ownership of the Hotlink Participating Plan to any other person.
    9. If any of the events in Clause 22 above occurs, Maxis shall be entitled to terminate and cancel the Offer and in such an event, you will no longer be able to enjoy the Offer.
    1. The monthly fee and Charges as well as details such as mobile internet package allocation, voice and SMS are set out in the Hotlink Postpaid SSTC as described in Clause 2 above. You may also refer to our official website at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/products/postpaid/ for more details. Charges published are exclusive of any applicable taxes.
    2. You are responsible for payment of all Charges associated with the Hotlink Participating Plan you have signed up for pursuant to this SSTC.
    1. The Offer is not transferable and not exchangeable for cash.
    2. Maxis’ decision on eligible subscribers for the Offer shall be final and conclusive and Maxis shall entertain no correspondence, complaint, or appeal at any time during or after the Offer Period.
    3. For the avoidance of doubt, all relevant conditions under this SSTC must be fulfilled, including your Postpaid account must in good standing, in order to be eligible for the Offer under this SSTC.
    4. We reserve the rights at any time, without being liable to you or any third party, to interrupt, bar, suspend, restrict the Service(s) for such time as we see fit or terminate, discontinue or disconnect the Service(s) if your usage:
      1. shows excessive usage or placing unusual burdens on our Network;
      2. is for unlawful activities or for suspected fraudulent activities;
      3. is not in accordance with the FUP; and/or
      4. is for commercial/non-personal purposes.

    The terms and conditions stated herein shall be governed by the Laws of Malaysia and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
