Pay with Hotlink – General

“Pay with Hotlink” is a convenient payment method known as Direct Carrier Billing (DCB). It allows you to charge your app purchases, digital content, subscriptions, and more directly to your Hotlink account.
- For Hotlink Postpaid customers: Your purchases will be included in your next billing statement.
- For Hotlink Prepaid customers: The cost will be deducted from your available credit balance.

You can use “Pay with Hotlink” to charge purchases from the following App Stores:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
- Huawei App Gallery

Yes, there is a Digital Spend Limit based on your account type:
Hotlink Postpaid:
- If your line has been active for 4 months or more, your limit is RM250. You can also adjust this limit via Hotlink Self Serve.
- If your line is less than 4 months old, the limit is fixed at RM80 per month.
Hotlink Prepaid:
- The Digital Spend Limit is RM5000 per month, provided you have sufficient credit
Please note that we may revise the Digital Spend Limit periodically, and any changes will be reflected in these FAQs. -
- Hotlink Postpaid: If your line has been active for 4 months or more, you can manage your Digital Spend Limit via Hotlink Self Serve or the Hotlink app, up to 80% of your overall postpaid credit limit.
- If your line is less than 4 months old, the limit of RM80 per month cannot be changed.

No, refunds do not affect your Digital Spend Limit. Your limit remains unchanged regardless of any refunds received.

“Pay with Hotlink” is available to all Hotlink Postpaid and Prepaid customers, excluding Hotlink Tourist SIM users. Please note that this service is not available for corporate mobile lines or Wireless Broadband services.

Unfortunately, “Pay with Hotlink” only supports purchases in Ringgit Malaysia.

During the initial setup of “Pay with Hotlink,” you must be connected to the Hotlink network for authentication. Once authenticated, you can make purchases over either WiFi or the Hotlink mobile network.

No, purchases made through “Pay with Hotlink” are not subject to the 6% Sales and Service Tax (SST).

If you encounter any disputes related to purchases made using "Pay with Maxis," we recommend that you contact the customer support of the relevant app store or content provider directly. They will be best equipped to assist you with issues such as charging discrepancies, duplicate charges, or any other concerns regarding your purchase.
Please note that "Pay with Maxis" is solely a payment method, and we do not manage subscriptions for content purchased through app stores. If you wish to stop or manage your subscription, you will need to do so directly through the content provider or app store. For more detailed information, please refer to the FAQs provided by the respective app store, such as Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
