Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”) – Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited ECEM

Version 9th September 2022

    1. The Plan: Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited ECEM.
    2. You: Person(s) signing up this Plan.
    3. The Plan(s) and Service(s) is subject to the General Terms & Conditions ("GTC") at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/hotlink/personal-hotlink-prepaid/general/general-tnc/, Service Specific Terms & Conditions ("SSTC"), Maxis Fair Usage Policy and any other applicable terms and conditions, all at www.maxis.com.my/FUP and www.hotlink.com.my/tnc.
    4. Capitalised terms herein have the same meaning as defined in the GTC.
    5. Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC, the GTC and Summary Terms and Conditions ("STC"), shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) SSTC; (b) GTC; and (c) STC.
    6. We reserve the rights without liability, to revise this SSTC, Plan(s) and our pricing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give you reasonable advance notice of such changes and all previous versions of our user guides or leaflets will be superseded. You accept you are responsible for regularly reviewing information on the Plan(s), Service(s) at www.hotlink.com.my/tnc, including changes to the Agreement. Your continued use of the Service(s) and/or Plan(s) (after the Effective Date of any revision/change to the terms and conditions of Agreement, Services and/or Plan(s)) shall constitute unconditional acceptance by you of such revisions/changes and you shall be bound by the same. If you do not accept such revisions/changes, you may discontinue using the Plan(s) and/or the Service(s), failing which you are assumed to have accepted the changes.
    1. The Plan is only available for: -
      • New Hotlink prepaid activation customers; or
      • Mobile Number Portability (MNP) in:
        • East Coast of Malaysia (Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu); or
        • East Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan); or
      • Service Migration from prepaid ECEM plan(s).
    2. You are ineligible for this Plan if you owe us any payments.
    3. The Plan is inapplicable to you if you are a commercial user and/or bulk subscriber.
    1. Your top-up amount for prepaid services will determine the number of active days to make calls, SMS, and access to the internet (“Active Period”).
    2. After the Active Period ends, you can only receive incoming calls and SMS' until the next top up or 50 days from the end of Active Period, whichever is earlier (“Credit Grace Period”). During the Credit Grace Period, all or any balance from unutilised credit and/or mobile internet passes will be suspended from usage until the next top-up.
    3. You must top-up to resume full Service(s). Failure to top-up before the end of the Credit Grace Period will result in line termination.
    4. Unlimited calls are applicable to calls to Maxis network, other telco networks and fixed lines.
    1. Subject to clause 7, only Hotlink Prepaid ECEM customers can request for a change of plan from your existing prepaid rate plan to Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited ECEM Plan via Hotlink App. We will charge and you agree to pay a fee of RM2.00 upon successful change to Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited ECEM Plan.
    2. Upon successful change of rate plan to this Plan, the following shall apply:
      • your account lifecycle active period will be replaced with 30 days from the date of the successful change, and the Credit Grace Period will be reset to 50 days;
      • all existing domestic Mobile Internet Passes subscriptions from your previous plan will be terminated.
    3. Mobile Internet Passes, Hot Tickets or Reload Plus from other rate plans are not applicable to this Plan.

    1. All Unlimited Internet Passes are subjected to Maxis Fair Usage Policy at www.maxis.com.my/FUP. Please refer to our FAQ at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/faq/products/prepaid-ecem/general.html/) for more information about Maxis Fair Usage Policy.
    2. Each Unlimited Internet Pass has internet quota and speed capped per the table in clause 17 above.
    3. All Unlimited Internet Passes are non-auto renewable.
    4. All Unlimited Internet Passes do not allow tethering of internet usage to other devices.
    5. All Unlimited Internet Passes are strictly for personal usage only.
    6. Passes marked as “ECEM” can only be used in Kelantan, Pahang, Terengganu, Sabah and Sarawak.

    1. Under the Plan, only subscribers with at least one of the following Unlimited Internet Passes are eligible to purchase Add-On Hotspot Internet Pass: -
      • ECEM Unlimited internet and calls (24Mbps) 30-days;
      • ECEM Unlimited internet and calls (10Mbps) 30-days;
      • ECEM Unlimited internet and calls (5Mbps) 30-days;
      • ECEM Unlimited internet and calls (3Mbps) 30-days;
      • Unlimited internet and calls (18Mbps) 30-days;
      • Unlimited internet and calls (6Mbps) 30-days; or
      • Unlimited internet and calls (3Mbps) 30-days;
    2. The validity of Add-On Hotspot Pass will follow the validity of eligible pass mentioned in clause 24 that is active at point of purchase.
    3. In the even the subscriber has more than one eligible passes mentioned in clause 24 at point of purchase of the Add-On Hotspot Pass, the Add-On Hotspot Pass validity will follow the expiry date of the last Unlimited Internet Pass.
    4. Any Unlimited Internet Passes purchased after the activation of Add-On Hotspot Pass will not extend the validity of Add-On Hotspot Pass.
    5. The speed of the Add-On Hotspot Pass will be dependent on the eligible pass mentioned in clause 24.
    6. Add-On Hotspot Pass is subject to Maxis Fair Usage Policy.
    7. All Add-On Hotspot Pass are non-auto renewable.
    1. If you subscribe to any Unlimited Internet Passes as stated in clause 17 above, you are entitled to purchase the Add-On Internet Passes as set out below: -

    1. Add-On Internet Passes that offer unlimited internet quota are subjected to Maxis Fair Usage Policy.
    2. All Add-On Internet Passes are non-auto renewable.
    3. All Add-On Internet Passes are strictly for personal usage only.
    1. We reserve the rights at any time without being liable to you or any third party to interrupt, bar, suspend, restrict the Plan and Service(s) for such time as we see fit or terminate, discontinue or disconnect the Plan and Service(s) if your usage:
      • shows excessive usage or placing unusual burdens on the network;
      • is for unlawful activities or for suspected fraudulent activities;
      • is not in accordance with the Maxis Fair Usage Policy (at www.hotlink.com.my/FUP); and/or
      • is for commercial/non-personal purposes.
